The coaching process

Coaching is a process of 1) awareness, 2) action, and 3) accountability to yourself.

There is nothing scary or magical. It can be the highlight of your life. The coaching helps you to develop awareness of your strengths. Awareness leads to action.

Overview of the coaching process:

§  Problem description: What should be different? What should remain unchanged?

§  From problem to goal - formulate goals: what are the goal achievement criteria?

§  Order design: clear allocation of tasks and roles

§  Focus on solutions: What skills are already available? What can you build on?

§  Formation of concrete measures: Development of new behavior patterns to achieve goals

§  Conclusion of the coaching interview: comparison of the defined target criteria with the achievement of goals, sustainable securing and review of success.

How does a coaching process work?

The first call can also be made by phone and is usually free of charge.

Basic requirements for coaching are voluntariness, discretion, mutual acceptance, openness, transparency and willingness to change. These requirements will be clarified together in the preliminary discussion.

After the preliminary discussion, you can decide for or against coaching. If cooperation from both sides is desired, we clarify the initial situation in a further personal conversation, determine short- and long-term goals, check the objectives and determine characteristics by which the success of the coaching can be measured. Results and goals are recorded in writing.

As a rule, the coaching process takes about 5 to 10 sessions (1 session about 60 minutes) to be effective over the long term. Of course, the number of sessions also depends on your concerns. About 5 sessions are a good guideline, after an interim discussion you decide whether you would like to make further appointments.

The coaching sessions should take place as regularly as possible. A rhythm of approximately every four weeks has proven itself. During this time, you can deal intensively with your topics between the sessions and implement the solutions developed.

In coaching, we develop solutions together that are also put into practice. We develop recommendations together, which you then implement and integrate into your work practice. The practical experiences thus created are discussed together. Our recommendations are not limited to the use of individual techniques, but the interaction of a variety of methods makes the effect.

At the end of the coaching process there is a final discussion in which the results and the transfer are checked. Even if the coaching ends prematurely, a closing session is held to end the process.
